$0 Marketing Stack: Our 4 Favorite Free Marketing Resources

It’s no secret that monthly payments add up, and before you know it, you might be spending hundreds each month for basic functions available on other sites, sans subscription costs. Here are our four favorite free marketing resources:

Canva

Your Adobe Subscription might become a hard cost to justify once you sign up for Canva, a free, collaborative alternative with similar functions to Illustrator and Photoshop. Canva templates are great for when you’re in a design rut, but make sure you’re changing fonts, colors, and hierarchy to make sure you’re not straying from brand guidelines. We love how easy it is to mock-up designs and share access between team members. Our favorite Canva tool? We’re in a committed relationship with the background eraser and animation functions.

Milled

Be warned, you’ll probably spend hours going down an inspo rabbit hole on Milled. Milled is a search engine for email newsletters. We grab layout and hierarchy inspiration from email marketing masters and keep an eye on promotions our competitors are running. Bonus: If you’re an avid online shopper, you can also use Milled to investigate any email-only deals your favorite brands are rolling out.

Pinterest

Don’t underestimate the power of Pinterest. Pinterest is our go-to for inspiration on product shoots and a great resource to find reposts to fill out our feeds. Something to keep in mind? Sometimes it’s hard to track down the origins of an image, so make sure to put in a little bit of extra effort to give credit where credit is due.

Planoly

A free social media scheduler will change the game for you. Planoly is a great option. We especially love viewing our planned feed from their app to get the most accurate visualization of upcoming posts. Keep in mind that the free version only allows for 30 uploads each month, so if you’re posting twice a day, you may be more interested in other free alternatives like Buffer.

There’s plenty of more great free marketing tools we’ve heard around the grapevine, like Hotjar, Crowdfire, and Wista. What free resources do you have hidden up your sleeve?
