Content Marketing During COVID-19: Local Grit Highlights

GRIT Blog: Content Marketing During COVID-19: Local Grit Highlights

March enclosed on us so quickly with the pressures of COVID-19, forcing everyone to make huge business decisions pivot from brick and mortar to digital hubs within a matter of days. I’m so impressed with our clients who have been able to make these changes and take everything in stride. As we all know by now, supporting our local business is more important than ever, and during March, here is how we made this transition with our clients:

  1. VIDA Fitness quickly designed a digital gym package to help keep the current members engaged while also reaching a new audience. They are offering free workout videos in addition to their new digital membership to be sure to check that out here. Local Grit executes affinity marketing campaigns for VIDA and we were able to acquire more than 600 new email addresses for VIDA during this time. We then marketed VIDA’s digital membership packages to both active members and potential members. When sales and conversion may be low during Coronavirus, focusing on email marketing and email acquisition through strategic partnerships is a great way to keep moving the needle and cultivating community.

  2. MAVE New York’s focus on ritual is always a guiding light for us and we honed in on skincare routines this month. With social distancing in play, we provided attainable and relevant skincare tips that can help keep your skin glowing and healthy. Sign up for their email list here to get some really amazing tips and tricks from MAVE’s incredible founder Marisa Newman. Local Grit’s blog management, email marketing and social media services are really focused now on content – driving soothing stories and helpful tips to skincare lovers during this time of social distancing.

  3. Little Birdies Boutique had an exciting month and opened their second location in early March! Even though both stores are now closed, LBB’s focus on email marketing and social media marketing is really strong. Local Grit creates content and manages their social media marketing where we are seeing really amazing community conversation and outreach. Check them out here on Instagram and here to shop.

  4. Nothing in Between Studio (NIB) is a really lovely non-toxic and organic nail salon that we were lucky enough to work with in March, creating content and brand photography for their website, email marketing and social media channels. We helped create natural, candid content in their Arlington salon – be sure to check them out here on Instagram and here to make future appointment or purchase gift cards.
